A British Songbook, Lucy Goddard - Hungerford Arts Festival
The Croft Hall, The Croft, Hungerford RG17 0HY 🇬🇧
Mezzo soprano Lucy Goddard and pianist Siwan Rhys present A British Songbook.
With a particular passion for celebrating lesser-known repertoire, the duo perform music ranging from the early 20th century to the current day including previously unpublished/unperformed songs by Morfydd Llwyn Owen (the centenary of whose death is commemorated this year) and Peter Pope, works by Rebecca Clarke, Elizabeth Machonchy, Nicola Lefanu, Lynne Plowman and Kerry Andrew. Fresh from an exploration of American song, they can’t wait to share these British gems with you.
