Premiere broadcast + on demand. The broadcast will begin on 8th Jul 2021 7:30pm (BST) with on-demand video available for 30 days after the show.
Follow O Duo through London's Leake Street graffiti tunnel, into the disused railway arches under Waterloo and down into the depths of The Vaults for an exhilarating journey of percussion virtuosity.
Ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, O Duo present an eclectic mix of beloved classics, contemporary workouts and hidden gems.
Known for their virtuosic performances, laid-back presentation, and a passion for both percussion and music in general, O Duo (Owen Gunnell and Toby Kearney) inspire audiences around the world through their innovative and creative programmes. The duo perform both chamber music and concertos in many of the country’s top concert halls, regularly appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe and performing to the nation in Hyde Park for the Last Night of the Prom.
The programme includes works by Chopin, Liszt, Philip Glass, Lynne Plowman, Carrie Magin and Wayne Siegel
"Exhilarating ... a glistening constellation of timbres, at times hushed and haunting, at others athletically spry." Geoffrey Norris, Daily Telegraph
"This duo’s wonderful rapport, both with each other and with their audiences, together with their extraordinary versatility, virtuosity and physical prowess, adds up to a visual and artistic feast that is exhilarating and utterly irresistible." Oxford Mail Jacqueline du Pré Music Building
